Because of neurological disabilities, she requires day to day assistance as well as supervision overnight, in case of a health issue or emergency.

Your future housemate is a person with an unparalleled zest for life! Ideally, you share some of her many interests in arts and crafts, music, dancing, socializing, gardening and entertaining.

You are fun loving, and have a good sense of humor! You are also a skilled communicator and are comfortable with clear boundaries. You have a strong sense of self, good self care skills and life experience. Your demeanor is calm and you are willing to take time to build a strong relationship. Education and experience working with people who live with an intellectual disability is an asset.

We are looking for the 'right fit' with someone who is interested in a long term arrangement and would be willing to make a long term commitment.

This is a shared house opportunity supported by a well-respected non-profit organization. In exchange for being available through the late evening and overnight, you will receive free room and board. As a housemate, you are required to be available overnight and like any housemate, can be present in your home at any time. You must be present during the evening between 9:15 pm and 9:30 am six nights per week. One night a week or every other weekend you are free of overnight responsibility as well as for two weeks per year of vacation time (14 days). These obligations may be able to be adjusted slightly to accommodate your employment or school related needs.
